This is a repository of Special Instructions that can be accessed by:

  • The Super Admin when creating Templates.
  • The User when creating Specs.

*If a Special Instruction is modified or deleted from the Library, it will not affect any Templates or Specs it was previously attached to.

Create a Special Instruction

  • In the Left Navigation, click ‘Admin’.
  • In the Libraries section click on ‘Item Special Instructions’.
  • Click ‘Create New Special Instruction’.
  • From the dropdowns, select the Standard, the Specification Type and the Item Type that the Special Instruction will be assigned to.
  • Type the Special Instruction in the text window.

    ie. ‘Typical seat foam density shall be 1.8#’ might be assigned to a Seating Item Type.

  • Click ‘Save’.

*The order that the Special Instructions appear can be changed using the gray Up and Down arrows.

*They can then be copied from the Library when creating Templates using the ‘Special Instructions Library’ button.


Delete an Item Special Instruction

  • In the Left Navigation, click ‘Admin’.
  • Click on ‘Item Special Instructions’.
  • From the dropdowns at the top, select the Standard, the Specification Type and the Item Type that the Special Instruction will be deleted from.
  • Click the trash bin icon to the right. Click ‘Accept’ to delete.

*Deleting a Special Instruction from the Library will not delete it from existing Templates or Items. It will just not be available for future Templates and Items.
