Specification Types generate separate spec books and CANNOT be combined when printing spec books or reports.

ie. FF&E and Hard Finishes are two commonly used Specification Types.

Add a new Specification Type

• In the Left Navigation Panel click ‘Admin’.
• Click ‘Specification Types’.
• Select the Client Type from the dropdown to add Specification Types.
• Click ‘Create New Specification Type’.
• In the blank row at the top of the grid, type in the Specification Type name.
• Create a Control # Format by adding from the dropdown options.

  *Recommended format is:

  • Prefix 1 - Item Type Code
  • Prefix 2 - None
  • Number - Number
  • Suffix - Free Text

  Item Type Code would then be: CH-1.A

• Click only to apply the Configuration to all the Spec Types.
• Click ‘Save Specification Type’.

Delete a Specification Type

• In the Left Navigation click ‘Admin’.
• Click on ‘Specification Types’.
• Click the trash bin icon to the right. Click ‘Accept’.

*A Spec Type CANNOT be deleted if Item Types are assigned to it.
