Standards are the highest level of Specsources’ data hierarchy.

Standards dictate Specification Types. Specifications dictate Item Types. Item Types dictate Templates.

Different Standards can be set up based on your internal studios.

ie. Hospitality Standards or Commercial Standards.

Different Standards can be set up based on your Client’s requirements.

ie. Marriott Standards or Home Depot Standards.

By creating different Standards, different Specification Types, Item Types, Item Type Codes, Item Type numbering formats and Templates can be established.

*There is no need to create a separate Standard for different Clients if nothing within the Standard will change for the Client.

The Standard name will not print anywhere.

Create a Standard

• In the Left Navigation click ‘Admin’.

Option A:

• 2.) Click ‘Standards’.
• 3.) Add Standard name.
• 4.) Click ‘Add Standard’.

Option B:

• 2.) Click ‘Standards’.
• 3.) Click ‘Import Demo Standards’.These are already created Standards which can be used on other Projects.
• 4.) Select from the dropdown the Standard to be used.
• 5.) Click ‘Get Demo Data’.
