- Click ‘Create New Project’.
Office Dropdown*.
Select an Office to assign the Project to. This list is populated from the Address Book > Offices / Designers section.
The Address of the office selected will appear in the footer of the Spec Sheet if you are using Standard Reports.
By selecting an Office, it will also generate a list of Non-Admins from that Office in the ‘Access’ Tab that can be assigned to this Project.
Project Location.
This is any additional information about the project.
ie. Building 1A.
This field only prints on the Project Cover Sheet.
Project Name Text Box*.
Enter the Project Name here. It will appear on the Cover Sheet, Spec Sheets and all reports.
Project # Text Box.
Enter the Project # here. It will appear on the Cover Sheet, Spec Sheets and all reports.
Location Address.
The dropdown is generated by Address information entered in the Address Book > Project Locations section.
This field only prints on the Project Cover Sheet.
Standards Dropdown*.
This is the standard for this Project. Selecting this will automatically generate the Spec Types, Item Types, Item Type codes, Control # configuration and Templates that were created by a Super Admin.
*Once ‘Save Project’ is clicked, you CANNOT change the Client Type for the Project.
Currency Dropdown.
If using USD, nothing needs to be selected as that is the default. By selecting another Currency Type, it will use that currency’s symbol on all printed specs and reports in this project.
*Specsources does not do real-time currency conversions.
Project Contact.
The dropdown is generated from the Contact field below the Location Address field in Address Book > Project Locations.
Construction # Text Box.
This stands for Construction # and does not print on any Spec Sheet or report and is for internal reference only.
Issue Date.
Selecting a date and clicking ‘Use on All Specs’ will put that Issue Date on every Spec already created and every new Spec.
*The Issue Date CAN be overwritten on any Spec on a per Spec basis.
To change the Issue Date on ALL specs, select a new date, uncheck the ‘Use on All Specs’ checkbox, click Save Project, then recheck ‘Use on All specs.’
